BUFFALO, NY — Buffalo-based OneBridge Benefits, one of the country’s largest administrators for account-based health benefit plans, has expanded its services with the launch of The OneBridge Agency. This new entity allows OneBridge to provide complete and comprehensive support for their growing client base, adding to the company’s already robust suite of services.
The agency’s formation is a direct response to the success of OneBridge’s YourWay ICHRA, a transformative health benefits solution that helps employers manage escalating group health costs without compromising coverage by letting employees choose tailor-fit insurance plans from their community marketplaces. In Western New York alone there are over 60 plans available, ranging in tiers from Bronze to Platinum.
Led by two seasoned insurance professionals, Director of Agency Account Management Laryssa Domagala and Director of Agency Enrollment Services Susan Robillard, The OneBridge Agency is staffed by 15 experienced and accredited individuals. This team—which occupies the fourth floor of The Crosby Building on Franklin Street, just three floors beneath its parent company on the seventh floor—guides, supports, and educates the over 250,000 ICHRA, HRA, and FSA participants that have plans administered through OneBridge.
Robillard expressed her commitment to providing white-glove service for ICHRA participants, saying: “Our team is devoted to delivering exceptional onboarding and support services that enhance the benefits experience for everyone involved. We strive to help individuals and families discover plans that perfectly align with their unique needs.”
The same goes for the employers themselves, with Domagala adding: “Modern day organizations shouldn’t be in the ‘healthcare’ business. The OneBridge Agency alleviates that burden and expectation entirely—ensuring our partners can spend less time managing their benefits implementation, and more time focusing on their core services.”
OneBridge Benefits CEO Nick Knab commented on how this launch is set to support the company’s growth moving forward: “We are thrilled to launch The OneBridge Agency—which officially began overseeing our ICHRA enrollments in January of this year. Our continued investment in expertise and technology allows us to provide innovative solutions that help employers manage the rising healthcare costs, while still providing high-quality benefits to their employees via our ICHRA, HRA, and FSA plans.”
The timing couldn’t be more appropriate, as a recent report published by the HRA Council highlighted that the number of ICHRAs offered to employees increased by 171% between 2022 and 2023, while the number of employers that adopted an ICHRA increased by 64%. Several Western New York organizations contributed to that dramatic increase—via OneBridge’s YourWay ICHRA—including NOCO, Fox Run at Orchard Park, and Beechwood Continuing Care. As adoption continues, The OneBridge Agency will continue to provide white-glove support to those who take advantage of the plan heading in 2024 and beyond.
