What is an ICHRA?
An Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) is an employer-funded health benefit that allows you to choose the individual health insurance plan that best meets your healthcare needs and budget.
Your employer provides tax-free funds through your ICHRA account to help pay for your health insurance premiums, including eligible healthcare expenses. Everyone has unique healthcare needs, and an ICHRA gives you the flexibility to select the coverage that’s right for you.
What happens after I become eligible for an ICHRA?
Once you become eligible, you’ll receive information on setting up your account and explore your health coverage options. From there, you’ll choose an individual health insurance plan that best fits your needs and budget and complete your enrollment. A OneBridge Licensed Insurance Agent is available to guide you through the process and answer any questions along the way.
Do I need to meet with a OneBridge Licensed Insurance Agent?
If you’ve experienced a Qualifying Life Event, you should contact a OneBridge Licensed Insurance Agent as soon as possible.
If your new to ICHRA, meeting with a OneBridge Licensed Insurance Agent is not required, but we strongly encourage you to meet with one. Our agents can help you understand how your ICHRA works, review your healthcare coverage options, and ensure you’re making informed decisions based on your individual needs and budget.
If you’re comfortable selecting a health plan on your own, you’re welcome to do so. However, working with a OneBridge Licensed Insurance Agent provides personalized guidance and support throughout the enrollment process, helping you get the most value from your ICHRA.
